PhotoWishlist

PhotoWishlist is an app to create a wishlist of products you would like to buy and share with your friends. This app is available in Web, iOS and Android versions. The app allows the users to take pictures of what they wish for or to use the website to upload pictures of products available on other websites with details, for the purpose of purchasing it in future. Sharing the wishlist with your friends makes it easy for them to select gifts for you.

The Web platform is developed on CodeIgniter Framework (PHP and MySQL). The mobile app is developed using cross platform mobile development tool PhoneGap and AngularJS which is a powerful javascript framework for creating beautiful SPA (Single Page Applications). Using AngularJS we are able to generate more of an app feeling to the design and user interactions. It also loads faster than other frameworks.

The main sections of the app are User login, Upload Photos/Videos of the products and view users feeds. We have used technologies like Facebook Login, infinite scroll, pull to refresh etc to make the app more user friendly and easy to use.

The key features of the project are:

  • Semantics API is used to fetch the product details.

  • The shops can provide offers to the users.

  • Facebook API is used for logging in both the website and the smartphone app.

  • The product image and videos can be uploaded using the app too.

The project is developed by a team of AngularJS experts in 2 sprints. The website was developed in the first sprint and the smartphone app was developed in the second sprint.

"I have been working with Litebreeze since 2012 where they have been developing my website called PhotoWishlist. First doing the web development and lately they have been working on the app. It has been good working with Litebreeze and their estimates are usually quite close to the real work spent on the project. Their service is excellent and I can recommend Litebreeze as a development partner. "     Sigurbjörn Jónasson (Reykjavík, Iceland)
