On 12th October 2019, AWS User Group Kochi conducted the first-ever AWS community day in Kochi. LiteBreeze’s AWS experts were there to be a part of this milestone event. 

It was an insightful day with two workshops and a multitude of engaging presentations. With 400+ delegates and enthusiasts in attendance, we got to learn from and network with the best AWS talent.

AWS virtuosos, Jeff Barr and Arun Gupta conveyed their warm wishes to Kochi’s first-ever community day.

Madhusudan Sekar, principal technical evangelist, and head of digital innovation, Amazon internet services private limited, delivered the keynote address, centered on the need for ‘Building an innovation mindset.’ 

The main takeaway was his explanation of the mass innovation mindset at Amazon, and how it helped them reverse the fates of Kindle, Alexa, etc. from becoming sure-shot failures.

Sekar described how Amazon perfects user services/products using a constant feedback loop, and the need for innate business principles for every firm. It was exciting to realize that LiteBreeze follows the same principles to ensure quality deliverables.

The morning session included intriguing presentations on machine learning with AWS sagemaker, AWS IoT integration, digital human interactions using AWS Sumerian and Polly, and creation of open source tools leveraging the AWS architecture.

Post lunch, AWS specialists like Stefan Schweer, Bhuvaneswari Subramani, and Jeevan Dongre covered a variety of topics including AWS CI/CD pipeline, the evolution of Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure management.

Panda, a robot made by the famous Franka Emika industrial robotics, which relies on the AWS tech stack, was on display. It was a live testament to the vast possibilities of AWS. Our senior employees won several prizes in the AWS quiz competition that followed.
