AvoKoenen is a Dutch construction company. The programmers at LiteBreeze developed a web platform to handle all day-to-day business activities at AvoKoenen. The application enables management of work orders, invoices, audits, reports and financial analysis to meet managerial requirements.
This software handles information regarding construction contract work, namely:-
Seamless flow of work functions is ensured by provision to search details easily in order to find any task related information irrespective of work status. Time is of the essence, therefore the program tracks the login of time as well as raw materials utilized. Immediate customer feedback is an inherent part of this program.
Every state-of-the-art construction outfit needs a proper system of invoicing. LiteBreeze developed a simple, practical yet modernized system that includes auto billing of work orders, generation of PDF invoices and handling invoice payments.
In AvoKoenen, keeping track of project details is almost a breeze due to software developed by LiteBreeze. The program tracks multiple work-orders and (size based work-orders) that are managed into projects.
The project view (includes profit and its percentage of budgeted/ spent/ purchased amounts) provides in-depth calculations based on the credits and usage of raw materials.
The implementation of the highly sophisticated yet simple software program developed by LiteBreeze significantly reduces manual administration work. To ease creditor payment, the software includes SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) payment integration.
SEPA is an European Union initiative to simplify bank transfers denominated in Euro. SEPA enables customers to make cashless payments to anyone located anywhere in the area, using a single bank account and a single set of payment instruments.
Apart from this, the software offers the following facilities:
This website manages information for two companies namely Avo & Koenen. The site is available in two languages as well – Dutch and English. However, all inputs are formatted for Dutch.
All existing data was exported to work with the new application. Earlier it was done using Excel. The information is now available on the Internet which makes information retrieval much faster. Data is backed up daily.
PHP‘s latest Codeigniter 3 framework was used with jQuery for easier autosuggest features. We have employed responsive design for ease of mobile-based transactions. MySQL is utilized for data storage.
I trust the team at LiteBreeze.
Before starting, I thought it could be challenging to establish a smooth business relationship with a company that is 7000 km away from home. But I must say, the Litebreeze staff knows how to build rapport. Normally I meet business partners face to face. I "met" the LiteBreeze team via email, and later via Skype. They respond swiftly and accurately. Also, they think "with you", and don't just do as you say. For inexperienced buyers of IT outsourcing services I recommend you to take time for the development, and try to get a fixed team of developers to avoid loss of know-how. There are great opportunities with outsourcing!
